They bowled out SRH for just 113 runs in 18.3 overs, the lowest-ever total in an IPL final. KKR chased the target in just 10.3 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer scoring an unbeaten 53 off 26 balls. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the TATA IPL 2024. The final was held on May 26, 2024, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets.
This year, Virat Kohli was the highest run-scorer, amassing 741 runs in 15 matches, while Harshal Patel from Punjab Kings was the highest wicket-taker with 24 wickets.
The top four teams that qualified for the qualifiers were KKR, SRH, Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The first qualifier match was between KKR and SRH, which KKR won by 8 wickets, securing their spot in the final. The second qualifier saw SRH take on RR, with SRH winning by 36 runs to become the second team to reach the final.
