Lahore, 21 February 2024: Karachi Kings secured their first win of HBL PSL 9 by defeating Peshawar Zalmi by seven wickets at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Wednesday afternoon in the KK vs PZ clash. The fast bowling duo of Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza took three wickets each, restricting Zalmi to 154 in the first innings. In return, an unbeaten knock by Kieron Pollard ensured Kings completed the target with ease.
The second match of the day is set to be played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at Multan Cricket Stadium. The first ball is expected to be bowled at 7 p.m.
At Gaddafi Stadium, the Kings opted to bowl first in the KK vs. PZ match. Shoaib Malik gave them an ideal start by dismissing Saim Ayub for a golden duck on the first ball. This early breakthrough set the tone for Karachi’s dominant performance in the KK vs PZ encounter.
