In Match 10 of TATA Indian Premier League 2024, KKR vs RCB saw a power-packed batting display from Kolkata Knight Riders, spearheaded by Venkatesh Iyer (50 off 30) and Sunil Narine (47 off 22). Their explosive performances guided KKR to chase down 183 comfortably and secure their second consecutive win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In the KKR vs RCB clash, Narine and Phil Salt (30 off 20) set a blistering pace with an 86-run opening partnership off just 6.3 overs. Venkatesh Iyer continued the momentum with a counter-attacking 50 off 30, leading KKR to a seven-wicket victory. Andre Russell and Harshit Rana delivered excellent spells to restrict Royal Challengers Bangalore to 182/6 earlier. During the chase, KKR’s aggressive start was highlighted by Phil Salt’s explosive hitting, including 6,4,6 off Mohd. Siraj was in the first over, and Sunil Narine’s five sixes took KKR to 85/0 by the end of the powerplay. The visitors dominated the first six overs with four fours and seven sixes, setting a formidable tone for their innings.
In the KKR vs RCB match, Faf du Plessis introduced spin into the attack for the first time in the seventh over. It paid off as Mayank Dager dismissed the dangerous Sunil Narine for 47 (22) with a quicker delivery. Looking confident and at ease, Iyer reached his fifty off 29 balls. He and Shreyas Iyer combined for a 75-run partnership off 45 balls, reducing the target to 16 runs needed off 30 balls. Venkatesh Iyer (50 off 30) was out shortly after his fifty. Still, Shreyas Iyer (39* off 24) took over and finished the chase with a six, guiding KKR to victory with 19 balls to spare.

KKR pacer Harshit Rana made an impact in the second over, bouncing back strongly to dismiss du Plessis with a slower delivery after he had hit a six over third man off the previous ball. Du Plessis had managed to scoop one over the third man but mistimed his next scoop attempt over fine leg, getting out to short fine leg.

Kohli and Green forged a 65-run partnership off 42 balls. Just as the partnership was thriving, Andre Russell delivered a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Green (33 off 21) after conceding a six on the previous ball. The visitors maintained tight bowling in the following overs, not allowing a single boundary.
In the KKR vs RCB match, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell rejuvenated RCB’s innings with aggressive shots. Kohli brought up his second consecutive fifty off 36 balls with a six and a single. KKR had an opportunity to break the stand in the 13th over, but Ramandeep Singh dropped Maxwell at deep mid-wicket when he was on 11. Another chance was missed in the following over when Sunil Narine failed to catch Maxwell on 23 off a delivery from Rana. However, Narine redeemed himself by dismissing Maxwell (28 off 19) off the first ball of the next over.
KKR continued to apply pressure as Andre Russell struck again to remove Rajat Patidar, leaving RCB at 148/4 at the end of the 17th over. KKR then introduced Angkrish Raghuvanshi as their Impact Player, replacing Varun Chakaravarthy, who had completed his four-over spell. The visitors kept chipping away at the wickets, with Rana dismissing Anuj Rawat and conceding only five runs in the 18th over. During the 15-18 over phase, RCB managed only 29 runs for the loss of three wickets.
In the final overs of the KKR vs RCB clash, Dinesh Karthik (20 off 8) and Kohli provided a crucial push, hitting four sixes in the last two overs to lift RCB to 182/6 by the end of the 20th over. Kohli remained unbeaten on 83 off 59, with four fours and four sixes, ensuring a competitive total for RCB.
